Important Details:

Model Club Inc, a SAG franchised agency based in Boston, submits actors daily to principal roles in NYC through Breakdown Services. By joining this group, you’re expressing an interest in having Model Club Inc submit you for appropriate roles. As a special benefit to members of New England Actors, you will pay an 8% commission to Model Club, Inc on roles booked through Breakdown Services - a 2% discount *

1) Join Actors Access free of charge.
+ This is a requirement from Breakdown Services to which Model Club subscribes in New York.

+ After creating your profile, click on Manage Representation under the My Tools tab. Follow instructions to email Model Club's information to Actors Access so they know your profile is linked to them.

+ Verify that your head shot, statistics, resume and union status are all correct and updated.

2) Contact Rebecca at Model Club, Inc. Email: Click Here
+Let Rebecca know that you wish to be submitted for principal roles in New York by sending your contact info (cell #, home #, email, the URL of your NE Actor profile page) and confirming that you’ve linked your Actor’s Access Profile to Model Club, Inc.

+ Within a few days, Model Club will reply to confirm that we can access your profile and let you know if any more info is needed.

3) It is helpful to have several pictures on your profile page to get an accurate portrayal of what an actor looks like to ensure submission to the most appropriate roles possible. If you have them, additional photos showing characters, facial hair , etc. on your profile page are beneficial.

4) Ensure you have an current 8 x 10 head shot on your Profile Pages for both Actors Access and New England Actor.

How The Process Works:
Once your Actors Access profile is linked to Model Club, they will begin to submit you for principal roles in feature films, TV shows, TV pilots, and commercials. Model Club does not automatically submit anyone for low budget or ultra low budget SAG roles, however these projects occur frequently in NY, and if you would like to be submitted, you must let Model Club know. Model Club will not submit for extra work. If you book a job through Breakdown Services, all checks and residuals must be sent directly to Model Club from the payroll company for deduction of the commission. As a benefit for members of New England Actors, you pay 8% of your gross earnings* to Model Club vs. the usual 10% commission.

Model Club has dedicated staff to review all breakdowns and will submit you based on your Actors Access profile and New England Actor profile. It is essential that you keep your actors access profile up to date. If you fit the role, you must trust Model Club will submit you, please do not hound them for every role you may receive from Actors Access. Actors Access email alerts are imperfect - they sometimes send emails to actors who do not fit the role! Having Model Club will help assure your look and skill set are matched to the principal role. There is a 2 part screening process to ensure that you do not travel to NYC for a role that doesn’t fit you; Model Club is only submitting you for roles that are a match for you, and the casting directors are then selecting people from the submissions that they feel best fit the role. However, if your profile is inaccurate, there is no guarantee that you will receive correct auditions.

+ Please keep in mind that actors often receive only 24-48 hours notice for auditions in NYC.

+ Model Club will not submit actors on Breakdown Services to any projects in New England as to not interfere with any representation talent may currently have in the New England states.

* The 2% discount on commissions (8% rather than 10%) is applicable only for adult talent (18+ at time of booking) who come to Model Club through New England Actors. Talent linked to Model Club on Breakdown Services prior to joining this group are not eligible for the discount on commission. By linking your profile to Model Club on breakdown services, talent agrees to have all checks sent directly to Model Club in Boston on projects Model Club books talent for through Breakdown Services; to allow the commission to be deducted from all session fees, residuals, and any other checks connected to that project; allow Model Club to act as your representation for all contract negotiations and future renegotiations for the particular project. This agreement applies only to projects that Model Club submits talent for through Breakdown Services and may be terminated at anytime. However, termination does not exempt talent from paying all future commissions on jobs previously booked by Model Club through breakdown services.

Just wanted to update the group: Gaby is no longer handling the Actors Access submissions at Model Club- Rebecca is now (Rebecca@modelcubinc.com)

Also, they do not mind if you email them when you see something you think you would be right for and would like to be submitted for through them on Actors Access (aka: you do not need to sit and wonder if they are submitting you.)

Vermont is no deterrent for this film actor--max. flexibility to travel to NYC in a heartbeat. Glad to be on the Model Club radar.

I'm located in NYC and an actor has greater options by joining Actors Access directly and submitting for your own roles. I also suggest that you add a short reel to your profile as (I'm told) it pops-up first on the CD's screen when you submit. I've gotten nice auditions and jobs this way. Affiliating with Model Club is an excellent decision too, and keep up the good work Bradley.

I found that joining ShowFax for around 70.00, all of my submissions to Actor's Access are free. Being that I submit for Theatre as well as for Film, I needed to be more economical. Joining ShowFax has saved me hundreds of dollars. I have received only 1 call for an audition since joining Model Club but several from my own submissions. Model Club only submits for premium roles, from what I understand, but I enjoy traveling to NYC even if I don't break even, so I submit for any role that would look good on my resume. I would recommend joining ShowFax to anyone that would like to submit themselves for additional roles such as extras or Theatre. JMO (and it's working fine for me).

I have used Model Club to submit me to multiple NYC castings. I met with the owner at their office to talk about my goals. I am putting together a demo reel right now for them to submit with the headshot/resume. So far no calls for auditions, but they do submit me.

Hi Phyllis:

I get messages from actors access every day noting jobs that "match my profile." I do not know which of those Model Club is submitting me but have been told to have faith that they are submitting me as aggressively as possible. I have not yet had a request for audition but am hopeful! You can submit yourself but it will cost you money to do so.

anyone have feedback on this service yet? Anyone being submitted? Anyone getting cast because of submissions? Have you been able to submit yourself or see what Model Club has submitted you for?

Let me know your thoughts. I am curious!

Thanks Bradley--what a great thing. I'm a Model Club Inc. model, but just joined this group as well and am excited to get started. Break a leg, actors!
