Hey Jeff ~ The Backstage Message Boards at http://bbs.backstage.com/eve/forums are a great resource to get the scoop on agencies. In all likelihood, you're going to have to start out freelancing with a commercial agent or two - best way to meet them is at any of the paid seminars at various places around the City, i.e.: Actors' Connection, Breakthrough Studios, The Network, et al It's very difficult to land a legit agent unless you have a strong reel and solid credits. Also, Paul Russell has a great chapter on finding an agent in his book 'Acting: Making It Your Business'....that chapter is actually available for download as a sample excerpt. Go to www.paulrussell.net/author/ACTING Make It Your Business.html Scroll down to where it says "Chapter Titles". At the bottom of that, you'll see a little button that says "Read Excerpt". Pressing this will download a PDF of the chapter on finding an agent!
