  • Georgina Keajra Ransley

Hi margot - sorry I must have overlooked your message about my name...well, firstly, I decided to pick a name now only so that if someone Google searches my name they won't find me associated with acting - no offense to acting, but the fields of work I've been in in the past are just so conservative, they might jump to conclusions about me based solely on my enjoying acting. I'm not being pretentious, just trying to separate a conservative past from a more flamboyant side of my personality. As for Georgina, it was always a name I liked, and its a lot like christine/christy/chris, Georgina/Georgy/George. The "Keajra" is a sanskrit word, and has great meaning for me as a Buddhist. It will serve as a reminder for me to watch my mind! Buddhism is my motivation for entering into the field of entertainment; I'd like to help toss in an insightful line of thought here and there on whatever production I might be involved with in future, gently and only if appropriate. I'd like to work in production for this reason.

As for you, I completely understand your wanting to honor your parents. I'm sorry to hear they've both died, my father died suddenly in December. It's an interesting predicment, as people seem to have such ridiculous difficulty with foreign names (in the US moreso than elsewhere). Perhaps using Margot Mareshkevich would be a worthwhile compromise. Or Dominique. My goodness you have a slew of beautiful names to choose from. Nicole. Margot is nice, it's been years since there has been a Margot, Margor Hemingway.

Take care deary, glad to hear of your nurse role. I'm in the Catskills in NY at the moment, probably until June. Not much to work on up here! Unless, of course, someone finds me on NE Actor.

Thank you for the compliment,, Margo. Wow! I loved Jeri as Seven of Nine. Unfortunately, she wasn't on the set in my scenes as a Klingon. I see on your page that you ride and are a scuba diver. Me too! I just came back from W. Springfield where my daughter rode my horse in the New England Equitation Finals.
