Ric Plamenco, the Renaissance Man, has rocked roles ranging from a toothy-grinned socialite to a disco-dancing gluten-free guru on stage, television and social media.
After receiving his degree in Architecture from Roger Williams University, with a minor in Music, Ric immersed himself in the study of stage acting, musical theater, and vocal training. Guy can act, sing, tickle the ivories, and oh can he dance!
Ric has dazzled television cameras with his mad free-styling hip-hop skills, rendered in silhouette, for a "Gimme 5 Lottery" commercial series, and spread his happy-footed charisma from sea to shining sea on the national "Shake Your Udi's" disco van tour promoting gluten-free products via Facebook and Twitter. With his infectious smile and unstoppable athletic energy, Ric has also lit up stages in LTM's Musical Revues with characters as disparate as Benny from In the Heights, David from Newsies, tap-dancing Robert Martin from The Drowsy Chaperone, and a Fosse-ized shirtless dancer in Chicago.
Dynamic, curious and multi-passionate, Ric enjoys drafting theme park designs on his antique studio table at home, playing Broadway hits on the baby grand, crooning ballads like the finest Disney prince, and picking up his classical violin for a jig or two whenever that rowdy St. Pat's spirit strikes him. He has long indulged his fever for the street arts of b-boying (break-dancing), popping and locking, by teaching and choreographing throughout the New England area. And, a highly-disciplined workout addict and international futbol aficionado, he also spends his evenings playing for more local soccer teams than he reasonably should. The Renaissance Man believes in always giving his all -- and in giving, always.
