Announcing a brand new, cutting edge Boston-New York partnership to showcase the talent of New England Actors! lau lapides company in conjunction with The Actors Alliance Studio in New York City present Next Step New York Showcase. This unique, one of a kind, all inclusive program will put you in front of top New York agents and managers to showcase your talents. A highlight of this program will be an opportunity to train with Harry O’Reilly, owner of Actors Alliance Studio, and partner Jim Burke. Actors Alliance Studio is a high profile, membership based, studio in New York City. All preparation for the final showcase will take place at lau lapides company in Wellesley. Actors will then travel to Actors Alliance Studio in New York City to perform for these top industry rainmakers.

Looking for serious minded actors age 16 and up who are interested in pursuing a career in the New York commercial and theatrical markets.

Casting requirement: Audition by appointment only. No drop ins please. Please bring headshot and resume, and prepare a two minute or less monologue. You may choose to bring in a two minute or less scene, reader will be provided. It is important to note that this audition will be taped and reviewed by our New York partners.

Audition Dates: Saturday March 12^th 10-4, Sunday March 13^th 10-4, Monday March 14^th  6-9.

Training days with Harry O’Reilly and Jim Burke at llc studio: Saturday March 26^th, and Sunday March 27^th, 10-4 both days

Showcase Date: Thursday, April 14^th

Harry O’Reilly is the owner of the prestigious professional acting studio in NYC, The Actors Alliance Studio. Harry is a professional actor, director and teacher, and has been teaching acting and directing for over 20 years. He is currently filming Brett Ratners new film with Ben Stiller. He has appeared in more than twenty studio and independent feature films. His Studio credits include supporting roles in "Hamburger Hill", "Reality Bites", "The Cable Guy", "Starsky and Hutch", and recently Sidney Pollacks "The Interpreter". He was a series regular on the award winning ABC television series "Homefront", NBC's "Hotel Malibu" (with Jennifer Lopez), and M.T.V.'s "The Ben Stiller Show". He's also done numerous recurring roles on "Law and Order", "Sex and the City", "OZ", and "New York Undercover", to name a few. Harry's film "CrooKed LiNeS" that he wrote and directed recently won the Brooklyn international film festival.

Jim started his professional career 30 years ago. Since then he has performed off

Broadway and regionally across the U.S. From there he segued into Film and T.V. and has had featured roles in over 2 dozen films and T.V. shows. Jim has also had success in the Commercial and Voice Over world where he has worked on over 60 commercials, VO's and Industrials in the last 20 years. The last 10 years has found Jim behind the camera directing, writing and producing. He also became involved in teaching at the Actors Alliance in N.Y. 6 yrs ago. Presently Jim is adapting a Documentary he produced into a feature film.
