Stiletto Singers Auditions

The Stiletto Singers announces auditions for additional members for on-going opportunities. Repertoire includes musical theatre and pop songs, and a holiday show and children’s musical are in the works.

Seeking:
Women singer/ actors who can move well, of all types, to perform solos and group numbers at various venues throughout New England. Ability to harmonize and experience with interactive theatre or improv is a plus. Technical level of dance is not too difficult, although you must be able to pick up and execute choreography.

Specifically looking for:
1 core performer to join the group, who is preferably also interested in helping to build the company
1 swing to cover the 3 main female performers
Several talent to have on file for future productions and to have as on-call understudies
Additional pianists; male or female (Do not need to audition- contact us if interested)

Rehearsals:
Once a week; day varies depending on cast availability. Sometimes twice a week before a show. Rehearsals are held in either Bedford, MA (on Burlington line) or Somerville. Transportation can be arranged for those without cars.

Audition Requirements:
Two contrasting songs (16-32 bars) of any style, to be sung acapella. Come prepared to dance after you sing. You may be asked to improvise or cold read. Possible interview, as well.
Bring 2 headshots/ resumes stapled. Also be prepared to make a repertoire list of your performance-ready songs.

Audition Dates/ Times:
Monday, July 12 12pm- 4:30pm and Tuesday, July 13 6pm-10pm

Bedford, MA (on Burlington line.) Exact address will be e-mailed to you once your audition is scheduled. Free parking is available.

Pay/ Union:
Paid gigs. There may be some non-paid show-cases. Union and non-union performers are welcome. There is no union jurisdiction for these performances.

The Stiletto Singers is a new female theatrical performance company that combines singing, dancing, acting, and comedy to create a wide variety of shows.
