Highly sought after professional acting coach and trainer John Sudol joins forces with Lau Lapides Company, Studio Division to offer a dynamic, intensive workshop in a new, fresh training experience for professional actors. John will be flying in from North Hollywood to join us live and in person for an entire weekend!

John is one of the nation’s most highly acclaimed trainers and speakers.
Quoted frequently in Backstage West, he will be one of the guest speakers for the upcoming SAG conference in Las Vegas. He is and has been a coach for extremely successful working L.A. actors in commercials and television series for
over 25 years.

Thursday October 21, 6:30-9:30-
Type and Quality workshop followed by Hollywood Q&A
This 3 hour workshop will help you determine how to brand yourself as an actor, what roles you should be going for, as well as time to ask John questions about Hollywood.

Firday October 22, 6:30-9:30-
Audition Night With Casting Director Ann Baker
Come into our studio for 3 hours of working with and auditioning for our coaches John Sudol, Lau Lapides and special guests Ann Baker, Boston based casting director, and Bradley J. Van Dussen, professional actor, voice-over artist, and host of New England Actor Website. There will be time scheduled for a talk back as well as Q&A.

The Language of the Face: Nail that reaction shot!
John Sudol, one of LA's top acting coaches, has pioneered a system for actors to use the power of emotional facial expressiveness with teaching "The Language of the Face". His approach helps his students consistently book work. John's groundbreaking system truly defines the difference between stage and film acting. This 8 hour intensive workshop will reveal some of the secrets to understanding, creating and controlling intricate facial expressions. Main points include:
• How to translate directions into specific reactions
• How you personally reveal how to create a balance between what you’re feeling and expressing
• How to make each reaction bigger or smaller
• Exercises to develop muscle memory
• How to apply reactions to commercial spots
• Time for Q&A
