Hey everyone, I just added my new voice over demo reel on my profile page. Please check it out when you get a chance. It was was recorded at Soundtrack Studios in Boston through CP Casting. Thanks for your support!
Thanks, Isabel! I will totally do that. BTW, I was given Amelia Broome's name today. I believe she is there. Do you know anything about her? And OMG, that quote from your grandmother is priceless!
Jeff, you are so spot on! :D And wickid funny!
Natasha, "not fuh nuthin" you might have some luck checking with the faculty at Emerson College. They used to teach dialects as a separate course but now it seems to be part of the acting classes, but you might someone there to work with. I don't think many people say this anymore, but when my grandmother was annoyed she would say "that reeeeely frawsts my aaaasss."
:D Gosh, I sure wish it was that easy! I would go out and get myself some DD joe today!
I'm looking for the subtleties in addition to the bigger stuff...the minor tweaks in vowel pronunciation, etc., and also words (yeah, othah than "wicked") and expressions commonly used. Hope I can find someone that does all that! :)
My understanding is (based on radio commercials) that all you have to do is drink Dunkin Donuts coffee, and you accent immediately changes.
Natasha, that's easy, just flatten all your words ending in "ar" and add a "ya" to all words ending in "er". Please note that I was born and raised in the Bronx.
