My car is playing a primary role without me in Edge of Darkness. It's ironic because when I bought my current car the one thing that disappointed me was the color. It's silver and I wanted some odd, bright color so that I could find it easily in a crowded parking lot. I didn't want a car that blends in and gets lost. Well, the very fact that it's an average color is why it get used in so many films. In EOD it has been parked right next to Mel Gibson and the action with 1st unit, generally while…

The full story for those of you who worked in Boston today (10/16/08) and were driving around South Station. Yes, I was broken down! I didn't even get one lap around the route, and the clutch cable in my 1993 Volvo snapped, leaving me with 5 gears of neutral! :O Desperately I yanked on the shift, pushed pedal to floor, but no go. So there I was, blocking traffic. I put my hazards on. The horns started. I waved them around me. More horns. I opened the driver door, and threw every ounce of my 190…

Well, I'm sorry to say I was a little disappointed. It is a "very" long drive to Bangor and I was really hoping to see "Fathers" on the big screen. What was there was a beautiful auditorium (the local high school), but a tiny screen set up on the stage and a home quality unbalanced video projector. The audience was very small, probably because there were more than one events going on at the same time. They were very appreciative though and that part was nice.

I originally thought I was posting this blog on New England Actors when I was actually posting it on Our Film Space. The two sites look the same to me (not so tecno savvy here). So I copied the blog from one site to paste on this one. Anyway, here's my experience as a Dread on Surrogates:
This was without a doubt the most ruggedly dangerous set I have ever experienced. I worked on action films in the past, but never been a part of the action scenes. We, Dreads ( background actors ),…

I worked on a grad thesis film for a student (Bridget Lake) from Loyola U in California a couple of years ago. "Fathers" will be shown in the upcoming Bangor Film Festival on Friday August 15. We had a great cast including NE actors, Michele Romano, Bill Mootos, Bill Steele and NY actress Diane Gioseffi, as well as a wonderfully talented crew from all over. If anyone is attending the festival, I'm going to try to get up there myself. Please look me up.…

Well, after lots of hard work planning and organizing, the SAG 75th Party finally happened this weekend. I had a Blast (pun intended). Sold out with 500 people! We had a great group of volunteers for this event. What an upbeat positive bunch. Steve Auger found the Ritz for the event. Bill Mootos, Julie Wood and Dona Sommer did most of the overall organizing. The rest of us pitched in with various duties such as PR, mailings, designing the invitations, writing the Blasts, checking people in,…
